How I can help
Welcome to Systemic Therapy
Sometimes life does not work out the way we expected. As a qualified professional with a Master of Counselling and a Master of Family and Systemic Therapy, I am most enthusiastic about transforming the way families relate during difficult and challenging times,
With one in four Australian children suffering from anxiety, it can be hard for parents to know what to do or how to help. Family Therapy thinks about all systemic forces, such as relationship breakdowns, blended families, grief, loss, and addictions. What affects one family member, often impacts the whole family system.
Working collaboratively based on mutual respect, trust, and safety is key. I am driven by compassion to cultivate positive changes and growth at the individual and family level. In my practice of Family Therapy, I therapeutically use integrative approaches to create a fitting treatment program to meet the specific needs of the individual or family group and to re-engage with parts of your life that have been put on hold.
Systemic therapy, also known as family therapy or systemic family therapy, is a powerful approach to counselling that can bring about meaningful change within families, couples, and individuals. I specialise in this transformative method to help you and your loved ones find solutions to the challenges you face.

What Is Systemic Therapy?

Systemic therapy is rooted in the understanding that individual issues often cannot be fully comprehended or resolved in isolation. Instead, it explores the interconnectedness of individuals within their social and familial contexts. This approach views problems as influenced by, and influencing, the larger systems to which a person belongs, such as their family, relationships, and communities.

How Does Systemic Therapy Work?

In systemic therapy, we work collaboratively with you and your family or partner(s) to:

-
Identify Patterns - We'll explore the recurring patterns of behavior, communication, and interactions within your system. Understanding these patterns is often the first step towards change.
-
.Promote Communication - Effective communication is key to resolving conflicts and building stronger connections. We'll help you develop improved communication skills to express your needs, feelings, and thoughts.
-
Reframe Perspectives - Systemic therapy encourages viewing problems from different angles. This can lead to a shift in perspective, helping you see challenges as opportunities for growth.
-
Strengthen Relationships - By fostering empathy and understanding, systemic therapy can enhance relationships and promote a more harmonious family or couple dynamic.
